"This property was everything I expected and more. The owners have thought of everything. I took up a large group of 10, the rooms were delightfully presented and bathrooms in plenty. The house catered beautifully for all of us for a big birthday BBQ dinner around the communal table and beautiful roaring fireplace. A must is the outdoor bath!! Heaven! The interior of both houses are tastefully decorated and the gardens perfect to enjoy the beautiful morning sun. Very close to some of Mudgee's best wineries!"

"This house was perfect for a weekend getaway. It’s not too far from Mudgee town and surrounding wineries but once you’re at the house you don’t want to leave anyway! The space was incredible including the views, pool, outdoor bath and pool table. We all felt instantly relaxed being there."

"Surrounded by peace, quiet, views galore, wild flowers and butterflies! This tranquil property was perfect for our family of 10 with three generations and three young kids. The kitchen was well equipped for BBQ and roasts. The magnesium pool had three tiers for little paddlers and big folk. The comfy beds, blasting hot showers and 5-star laundered linen in abundance. Nice touch with the outdoor bath and local wines from Logan. Back again soon."

"Picturesque! Amazing accommodation with everything you need. The location is far enough away from town for peace and quiet, but close enough to access the facilities of Mudgee. Add that to close proximity to wineries and it’s a no brainer. Riverlea Retreat is well appointed, including lots of thoughtful touches. - we loved the décor. So peaceful and relaxing, approx 5-7km down a unsealed road. located up a hill with fantastic views, stars at night were incredible, pool v refreshing on a hot day. We even spotted a platypus in the river at the bottom of the property but sadly we did not catch a fish! Will have to try harder next time. Ranui was very responsive and helpful. "We absolutely loved Riverlea Retreat. We were there for my 50th over a long weekend with a party of 9. The extensive house, mineral pool & gardens, gorgeous views, variety of amazing outdoor & indoor spaces, & location are really special & offered us ample space to chill out & enjoy connecting. The biggest thing was the relaxation factor, the feeling of being a million miles away from care. Everyone commented at some stage throughout the weekend about how happy & relaxed they felt. Yet we were so close to the wineries & restaurants, just minutes drive to Skimstone Wines, Logan & First Ridge. I am already missing the outdoor bath with a view. We are already talking about our next trip there!"

Communication with Riverlea Retreat was always very quick and friendly. We were a group of 4 couples and had plenty of room. Could easily accommodate 2 families also. We plan a return trip in warmer weather to enjoy the pool! Highly recommend Riverlea Retreat!"

"Ranui was a magnificent host, could always get a reply from him instantly. Our group had issues with the covid lockdown period and had to rebook. Amazing Ranui let us rebook for the same price we originally paid for as the price was a bit higher for the dates we wanted. He was also super accommodating and very personable. The place itself was incredible, in fact, I think it was even better in person. The views were amazing, all the rooms were equally great and super clean. Cannot fault my stay in any way. A member of our group had also commented that it was the best airbnb he has stayed in. If I had to rate it I would give it a 10/10. You won't regret booking this place."

Really had an incredibly peaceful vibe, especially with the indoor & outdoor fires - exceptionally warm & ambient. There were many spaces to kick back with some vino, & lots of fun had around the pool table with quality beats. It felt super secluded & the views were exquisite - enjoyed especially from the outdoor bathtub with bubbles. The beds were next level comfortable & the entire place felt so fresh & so clean to the highest of standard. Super fast wifi made tapping in to zoom calls seamless. And with the array of superior vineyards right on the doorstep, we didn’t have to venture far for some fine wine and atmos. Wished we could have stayed longer."

The location is quiet and away from any other people so you can experience the serenity without interruption. Town is only a short drive and plenty of wineries and other stops along the way. Other highlights included - watching the kangaroos at sunset from the cottage balcony with a wine, a couple of little herb patches around the property to forage flavour to our food, some nice bird watching, big walk in showers in every bathroom, and a huge outdoor table for our summery al fresco meals. The accommodation was top quality in both spaces, it provided a child friendly location and close enough for us to enjoy local tourist attractions. Also a river is close by with lots of fish. "A beautiful 2 night retreat for a group of 8 friends. Ranui was quick to respond and we felt very welcomed and at home there. All its amenities and facilities were as per the photos and easy to use. Our group was never lacking for a thing to do together or individually. The views are spectacular, each window has a wonderful outlook, and on a clear night you can really see a lot of stars. Access to the river was easy, had a picnic there and saw a couple of wallabies. While the main house is spacious and full of entertaining goodies, the cottage has its own communal space, a deck with seating, The outdoor bath and views - could certainly be a great stay on its own. Even the rear garden is well maintained with a patch of lawn large enough to have a picnic rug laid out. Enjoyed every part of the stay. Thank you."

"We had a fabulous family weekend away with our fur babies at Riverlea Retreat Mudgee. A lovely country retreat and perfect location to enjoy this area. With a wood fire crackling, we enjoyed our favourite wines from the day, while the competition heated up on the billiard table. Beds were really comfy. "One of the best places I have stayed, beds were very comfortable, the property was just beautiful, very comfortable and clean. Highly recommend for group travel, every couple had a private bathroom which made getting organised each morning very easy and time efficient. Views were stunning and we enjoyed watching local wildlife and star gazing by the fire pit. There was ample firewood which allowed us to keep the place nice and cosy. "Riverlea Retreat was everything we wanted, and more, the serenity and scenery was outstanding. The outdoor bath was a huge hit. We played pool, boules and many other boardgames, there was plenty to do. The location is great. We visited a couple of nearby wineries and looked around the local shops in the quaint town centre of Mudgee. Ranui was really responsive and helped with any questions we had, we were lucky enough to get an early check-in and a late check, which was really appreciated. We would love to visit again in summer so we can fully utilise the pool."
